Transformation of a food retail chain into one of the largest operators of domestic commercial real estate

Situation:

This client of PSK-Solutions was a shareholder of one of the largest food supermarket chains in the Central Federal District of Russia. The client requested a full-scale business transformation with closure of their stores.

PSK-Solutions’ role:

Managing the closure of the supermarket chain;
Setting up sales of remaining goods;
Development of a new strategic business model, including cash flow forecasting;
Conclusion of long-term lease agreements with major retailers on behalf of the shareholder.

Results:

Our team’s efforts helped implement a unique business transformation project in the commercial real estate market for the client: 100 % of the premises were leased to the largest Russian retailers in the long term (10 years or above) and with the most favorable conditions for the client. The client also gained the opportunity to update the existing business model and build a new financially sustainable business in the commercial real estate sector.
