Refinancing of the debt portfolio for 8+ billion rubles for an international client
Situation:
This client of PSK-Solutions was an international vertically integrated power-generation holding. The client needed to refinance the loan portfolio in one of the leading Russian banks with the assignment of claims to an international bank at a discount.
PSK-Solutions’ role:
- Our team enabled the client with full support in communication with the leading Russian bank and international bank;
- We developed the structure and terms for the assignment of claims, then we proposed the terms to all parties and agreed upon;
- PSK-Solutions team fully prepared the infrastructure for the deal, including establishment of SPVs in several jurisdictions;
- Our team developed a payment infrastructure for cross-border transactions;
- PSK-Solutions carried out operational control throughout the closing of the deal, ensuring the timely approval and signing of loan documentation with banks and SPVs, as well as the prompt execution of the assignment payment and transfer of ownership.
Results:
The liabilities were successfully refinanced within the established timeframe securing beneficial terms for the client and for Russian and international banks (“win-win-win” solution).
